Florencia Dansilio, sociologist and artist.
With a PhD in sociology from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, my work focuses on the sociology of art and culture, the relationship between artistic and political practices, the socio-history of cultural circulation, and the evaluation of cultural policies. I completed a post-doctorate at the CRAL (Centre de Recherche sur les Arts et le Langage) at the Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales and a post-doctorate at the LCSP (Laboratoire du Changement Social et Politique) at Université Paris Cité in partnership with the Projet Démos (Philharmonie de Paris).
I am currently a professor at the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación at the Universidad de la República (Montevideo, Uruguay) and an associate researcher at the Centre de Recherche et Documentation sur les Amériques at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. Since 2017, I have been a member of the editorial committee of the Transatlantic Cultures. Membre de l’ISA (International Sociological Association) et de l’AISLF (Association International des Sociologues de Langue Française)
I am also a director and playwright, and a member of the Hiedra theater company.
